Hey Y’all! Today I wanted to share a few super easy, healthy and delicious Yogurt Parfait Bowl recipes!
I’m a HUGE fan of healthy and easy eats, and Yogurt bowls are probably one of the EASIEST breakfasts or snacks to throw together, while still being healthy. They are also so quick and versatile! Taking only minutes to make, you can put as many or as few add in’s as you want for tons of flavor options!
Before we start let’s go over the “basics” of Yogurt Bowls! There are a few things you need to make sure you have for the best tasting Yogurt Bowls possible!
Step 1: Quality Ingredients!
Make sure you’re only getting high quality ingredients! No one wants to eat watered down yogurt or dull, tasteless fruit! I get mine from Hannaford and never have to worry about quality, or price, because I signed up for the My Hannaford Rewards Program! Using the Hannaford App to earn a 2% reward on countless Hannaford brand products is so easy and quick. All you have to do is
download the app, (click HERE for Apple and HERE for Android), fill in a few tidbits of information and then start earning rewards! On my last two purchases I’ve already earned almost $4! At check-out all you have to do is either enter your phone number or have the cashier scan the bar code in app! One of the main reasons I love and use the Hannaford App is because not only do you earn rewards from pantry items, but also on fresh produce, meats and seafood, along with the plethora of Hanford deli items and any of their NINE store brands! Most of the time coupons are for pantry or heavily processed foods rather than fresh items like produce and meat, and since I try not to purchase a lot of those items I don’t often get the opportunity to save extra money with coupons or savings programs. In addition you can virtually clip coupons for ANY of the brands that they carry in store! That’s A LOT of savings y’all.
Step 2: Texture + Taste
Adding toppings with different textures and contrasting tastes really takes your yogurt parfaits to the next level! Try adding something crunchy, like nuts, or something thick and creamy like a spoonful of nut butter. Fruit is a “go to” ingredient for yogurt parfait bowls, as it should be, but instead of just one fruit try adding a few different kinds, and take their tastes as well as textures into consideration. Adding a soft and sweet fruit like a banana with a crispy, tart one like an apple will elevate your bowls beyond the traditional yogurt, granola and blueberries!
Step 3: Try some NEW ingredients!
Branch out from the traditional granola and try something new! There are SO MANY different foods you can top your yogurt with that once you branch out you’ll be kicking yourself for not doing it sooner! Some unconventional Yogurt Bowl ingredients are:
Seasoned Nuts: pre-seasoned nuts like honey roasted peanuts, coco almonds or sweet and spicy nuts.
Herbs and Zests: opt for an indulgent herb topping like candied ginger or stick with something simpler like fresh basil (Basil goes GREAT with strawberries!) Don’t forget to try Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Allspice, and Chili Powder. Citrus zests also add a refreshing flavor to any yogurt bowl.
Dessert Toppings : Obviously we’re trying to stay healthy here, but if you’re really craving something sweet, add a few shavings of organic dark chocolate, nut butter, some crushed graham cracker or extra sweeteners like honey, agave, or real maple syrup.
Extras: If you typically take a daily supplement that is water soluble mix it into your yogurt! When I know I have an especially busy day I’ll mix half a serving of protein powder into my yogurt before adding any toppings. I also mix in my other supplements, like collagen peptides and a super food supplement that I drink every other day!
Step 4: Beautiful Bowls!
This might sound a little odd BUT hear me out! Take the time to plate your food!!! This doesn’t just go for these – Yogurt Bowls, it should be your new general meal time rule! When you take the time to plate your food you’re taking the time to really see HOW MUCH food you’re serving yourself. If you’re anything like me you grew up in a house where you ate EVERYTHING that was on your plate no matter what. But growing up like that, along with the enormous portions served at restaurants, actually makes it hard for us as adults to regulate our serving sizes. Taking the time to “decorate” your plate will help you realize how much food is going onto your plate, and into your body.

Sweet and Spicy Melon Chipotle Parfait
Sweet and Spicy Yogurt, Fruit and Nut Bowl
A delicious and very different take on the traditional melon and yogurt pairing. Adding sunflower seeds and tossing the melon in spicy chipotle seasoning with either sweet vanilla or tangy plain yogurt makes for a delicious snack!
Ingredients
- 1 cup Vanilla or Plain Green Yogurt I like to use Taste of Inspirations Brand available at Hannaford.
- 1 - 2 cups Freshly Cut Melon Mix
- 1/2 tsp Cabo Chipotle Seasoning I like this because it has an added smokey flavor, if you prefer to not have the smokey flavor try a little chili powder with salt instead.
- 2 tbsp Sunflower Seeds
Instructions
-
Add yogurt to a large bowl, directly in the center, keeping away from the sides of the bowl.
-
Put fresh melon mix into a large bowl, sprinkling Cabo Chipotle seasoning and sunflowers on top. Toss until the melon is evenly coated with seasoning. *YOU DON'T NEED MUCH! A LITTLE SEASONING GOES A LONG WAY IN THIS DISH!*
-
Gently place melon pieces around the yogurt in a circle, framing the edges of the bowl.
