Hey Y’all!
I’m so excited for today’s post! I’ve had this Galentine’s Day Brunch idea bouncing around in my head for quite a while now, but wanted to make sure that I executed it perfectly and didn’t rush through it or settle for just “ok.” That’s why I teamed up with Hannaford Supermarkets to make sure all the food and drinks for our brunch was top quality and delicious!
So if you’re ready to host an adorable, delicious, and budget friendly Galentine’s Day Brunch let’s go!
How to Host a Galentine’s Day Brunch
step 1 : decor + space
My entire decor was just a mish-mash of things I had laying around! I used my daughters bed canopy, a table cloth I already had, an old pallet, some fat quarters from last Valentine’s Day and different glass jars I had in my cupboard. The ONLY thing I purchased decor-wise were the fresh flowers! Just because you’re having a get together doesn’t mean you need to go out and purchase a bunch of new things! So what if your friends have already seen that table cloth or table setting before, THEY ARE YOUR FRIENDS. You see them often! You don’t redo your entire house every time your friends come over right? See, that thinking is silly and pricey! Check around for what you have left over from parties, a fancy blanket you never use can double as a table cloth, and that tchotchke that sits high on a shelf where no one typically sees it can have the spot light on the table scape for a day! I suggest choosing a place with 1: Seating – it doesn’t have to be a table, a couch or something will do too! And 2: LIGHT! Natural Light always makes a space feel happier and bigger!
step 2 : saving money + groceries
So you’re hosting a b r u n c h right? The food and beverage selection is OBVIOUSLY important since that’s half the reason people are coming, to eat and drink! I shop at Hannaford Supermarkets and use the new My Hannaford Rewards to save on my groceries, which is especially important when I’m buying extras for a party! When I use My Hannaford Rewards I earn a 2% reward on any of Hannaford’s NINE store brands, plus produce, meat, deli and bakery items with the store brand name on them!
You can go to Hannaford.com to sign up via computer or download the Hannaford app on your phone or mobile device – I have it downloaded on my tablet and phone! It only takes about 2 minutes to download the app and fill in the necessary information for sign up. The app is simple to use and in addition to earning 2% rewards on store brands, you can clip coupons to use at checkout directly in the app and redeem personalized coupons and exclusive offers when you checkout. With Hannaford brands already amazing prices, which are available to everyone, even if you don’t have the app, the combined savings are incredible!
Oh! And just in case you’re like me and tend to forget things, like your phone or tablet, you can just enter your phone number at checkout to still earn your rewards!

step 3 : making brunch! EASY breakfast crescent bake recipe!
I got everything we needed for our brunch, from paper plates and napkins to the drinks and fresh fruits from Hannaford and used My Hannaford Rewards at the checkout. The star of our brunch was this super delicious and easy to make Breakfast Crescent Bake! The possibilities for this dish are basically E N D L E S S! I mean you can add as few or as many ingredients as you’d like. AND you can pretty much go any direction with it too. I did a more traditional egg, sausages and pepper for the brunch to give a little spicy flavor to the mostly sweet spread, but you could add feta, tomato and olives for a Mediterranean inspired crescent bake, or use an egg substitute and fresh veggies like mushrooms and zucchini for a vegetarian friendly bake! This bake is also so easy to make at the beginning of the week, cut up and put in containers to have for on-the-go breakfasts or for quick breakfasts at home during the work week!

Breakfast Crescent Bake
An easy and delicious Breakfast or Brunch dish with ENDLESS possibilities! This easy recipe can be as simple as 3 ingredients or as many ingredients as you'd like!
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound Hannaford Original Breakfast Sausage Links (or 7 sausage links)
- 1/4 cup Hannaford Frozen Chopped Onions
- 1/4 cup Hannaford Frozen Mixed Pepper Strips
- 7 eggs Hannaford Grade A Brown Eggs
- 2 cups Hannaford Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- 2 rolls Hannaford Original Crescent Rolls
- To Taste Nature's Place Pink Himalayan Sea Salt
- To Taste Nature's Place Garlic Pepper Chili Grinder
Instructions
-
1. Pre-Heat oven according to directions on crescent rolls.
2. While oven is warming get the Sausage cooking. Make sure to cook until browned and fully cooked. Here I used Sausage Links and just de-cased them in order to cook them. You can do that or cook the full links and then chop them into small pieces.
3. Set Sausage aside once cooked through.
4. Leave any fat/juices left in the pan and saute Onions and Peppers in it until cooked to your liking. I prefer mine cooked until there is a little crust on the veggies. Set aside.
5. Scramble your Eggs and set aside.
6. Take crescents out of roll and put together on a baking sheet in a circle form with "pointed ends" out and bigger/longer sides together or at the center of the circle. Then fill in the middle of the circle with more crescents.
7. Add a layer of Shredded Cheddar Cheese to the center of your pastry dough, it should look like a sun, leaving the "sun rays" empty.
8. Layer the Sausage, Onions, Peppers and Eggs (or whatever toppings you decide on) finishing with a final layer of Cheese.
9. Fold over the pointed parts aka the "sun rays" towards the middle of the "sun."
10. Bake according to instructions on Crescent Roll packaging.
11. Let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
