Today we are going get a little deeper into our family goals since we’ve started this book, plus share an interview with the Author of Always Eat After 7 PM, Joel Marion.
goals – in depth
I’m going to be honest – losing weight while on this diet plan isn’t really one of my goals. I really don’t have a ton of extra weight to lose, maybe like 10 pounds at the MOST – but I’m also a big believer that FEELING your best is being your best. However, my parents would love to lose some weight and are hoping to achieve that in the next few months! I’m also hoping cooking with more purpose will motivate my kids to eat more veggies!
Before starting this diet my hopes were to balance my hormones thinking that they would in turn help calm my skin issues (eczema and acne.) We are all also hoping to induce deeper sleep, and have more energy and focus during the day! Keeping up with the kids and working is exhausting for us all!
So far we have really enjoyed all the meals we made that were directly from the book, and we have experimented with creating our own meals, using the tools and advice in the book. I know we are only on week two, but the one thing that our entire family can agree on, is how good it feels to know we are making good choices, and NOT STARVING while doing it!

q : How long did it take for you to develop the diet?
a : It actually took several years of researching for me to discover the real science of eating late night. After a few years of tweaking and refining, I finally came up with a rapid fat loss solution that overcomes all the pitfalls of traditional diets.

I will say, this book has already taught me so much more about how my body works, and what it does with the food I consume than my anatomy class in high school ever did! Seriously guys, I feel so much more equipped to properly fuel my body, the way I want to than ever before. For example, all that talk of your food just sitting in your stomach while you sleep – not true! And “we’ve been traditionally taught to avoid carbs, have an early dinner, and never eat before bed. But the fact is, the latest scientific research shows us this earlier model is not the most ideal.”
