Today I want to share a new book that I’m reading with you! It’s called Traffic Secrets: The Underground Playbook for Filling Your Websites and Funnels with Your Dream Customers. Since my lively-hood is largely dependent on this blog (thanks for reading btw!) I was really interested in reading this book. I hear, Russell Brunson is something of a website traffic genius, so I have really high hopes for this book and his methods!
So, this book was written by Russell Brunson, a Best-Selling Author & CEO of a 100MILLION DOLLAR software company – ClickFunnels. With a following of over a million entrepreneurs, hundreds of thousands of his other two books sold AND the man who popularized the concept of sales funnels, I’d say he knows his stuff! I’d never even heard of him, BUT once I did a few minutes (literally 3 minutes) of research, it didn’t take long for me to realize that Russell is HUGE in the online marketing/entrepreneur/selling anything on the internet world. So I knew in reading this book, I’d be in good hands.
who is this book for?
If you are a business owner who has a website for their business, if you’re a blogger (holla!) or you have a website that you run for fun that you want more traffic on! Even if your website traffic is “good” – could more views really hurt? I mean, there is always room to improve right? That’s why I’m reading this book! I’ve hit a few blogging milestones this year, that I’ve been working for years to reach, and I would love to hit even more goals soon! Hopefully the methods in this book can help me do that!
what i’m hoping to get out of it
- I’m hoping to get a better sense of who YOU (my viewers) are and what YOU want to see more of. And how I can do that with my own passion, mission and vision in mind.
2. I’m hoping to learn how to broaden my audience. Are there techniques I’m not using that could be helpful? Are there ones I tried but maybe was doing wrong?

the 30 day challenge
One thing I really love about this book is the step – by – step approach. You can do the 30 Day Challenge workbook that lays out what pages to read each day, and also prompts you into action to grow your traffic, rather than just reading a book and not actually implementing the steps. During the 30 Day Challenge I’ve learned key strategies to increase my website traffic.
what i’ve learned so far
I’m currently on day 23 of the 30 Day Traffic Challenge – and while I’m not totally finished I do feel like I’ve learned quite a bit from Traffic Secrets. Without giving the entire book away, I want to share a few of the things I learned that stuck out most to me.
- New Strategies for not only creating good content, but creating the content my followers WANT, by changing the way I think and approach content.
- Fusing the above with genuine, authentic connection with my viewers.
- There was also one strategy that I have heard about before, but always shoved to the side because I didn’t think it was that important, or that I didn’t have enough time to do it. And that, was widening my potential audience by widening my posting platforms, by posting on MORE than just one or two platforms.
I can’t wait to finish Russell Brunson’s new book Traffic Secrets: The Underground Playbook for Filling Your Websites and Funnels with Your Dream Customers so that I can implement all the strategies to bring more traffic to my website!
